Pelra Azondekon is an active leader in the private equity and venture capital ecosystem in Canada. She brings 15 years of experience in private investments, corporate finance, M&A and accounting. Pelra launched and currently leads asterX, the corporate venture capital arm of Quebecor (TSX: QBR.A, QBR.B), a Canadian leader in telecommunications, entertainment, news, media and culture. Prior to joining Quebecor, she led and managed numerous equity investments in leading tech startups at Investissement Québec. Before that, Pelra spent close to a decade at EY, where she advised corporate clients and institutional funds on domestic and international M&A and private equity deals. She is also a Board Member at the Upside Foundation and Palette Skills as well as a mentor as part of the Black Wealth Club. Pelra graduated from HEC Montréal and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
