Avi Ambale is the founder/CEO of Daara Nano Biosense – a novel innovation for point-of-care cancer screening. His doctoral thesis was on ‘artificial neural networks for quantifying brain volume changes’ at Case Western Reserve University, a top 3 biomedical engineering graduate program in the US.

He has built and scaled technology companies across 3 continents with a few successful exits. His first company, ICL went on to a successful listing on Bangalore & Hyderabad Stock Exchanges oversubscribed 16 times with a 6x share premium. His third company, SMI Technologies was sold to Quindell, an LSE listed company with an 100x RoI to the founding team.  His fourth company, Pervazive licensed IP to Kognitiv, a Canadian company listed on the TSX as a reverse merger with AIMIA

He has returned to his research roots in the past 4 years to setup a lab focused on the math and science of cognition. The labs have a few USPTO patents and over 40 odd papers published in peer-reviewed journals including the highest-ranking journal for AI – AAAI. 

The labs work on biomedical nano sensors for cancer detection has been published in the highest ranked journals in the world, Science & Nature
