Eligibility

FINAL DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: October 1, 2010 at 5:00pm EST

The Canadian Innovation Exchange is searching for the most innovative ideas, products, services, and companies in Canada that must meet the following requirements:

Canadian Owned & Operated: innovations created in Canada by a Canadian citizen, or team of individuals consisting of a majority of Canadian team members.  Companies must be Canadian-owned and controlled within the meaning of the Investment Canada Act, have a head office based in Canada and the company’s activities should take place in Canada.

Each entry will be rated by the CIX Selection Committee using the following criteria. The top entries will be selected as finalists. In case of a tie, the jury chairs will select the finalists.

Judging Criteria:

• Quality of Innovation
• Market Potential / Viability
• Management / Industry Experience
• Competitive Positioning 

Companies that have submitted profiles in previous years are permitted to re-enter the competition, however, please emphasize measurable changes to your innovative product or service that have taken place since your last profile submission.

The CIX Selection Committee members are expected to declare a conflict of interest where such conflict exists, and will not vote for any entry where such a conflict exists.
