CIX Eligibility

The CIX Top 20 is searching for the most innovative ideas, products, services, and companies in the country, and must meet the following requirements:

Canadian Owned and Operated: innovations created in Canada by a Canadian citizen, or team of individuals consisting of a majority of Canadian team members.  Companies must be Canadian-owned and controlled within the meaning of the Investment Canada Act, have a head office based in Canada and the company’s activities should take place in Canada.

Each entry will be rated by the CIX Selection Committee using the following criteria, scored from 1 to 5. The top entries will be selected as finalists. In case of tie, the jury chairs will select the finalists.

  2. Growth Potential
  3. Management
  4. Technology Innovation


Selection committee members are expected to declare a conflict of interest where such conflict exists, and will not vote for an entry if such a conflict exists.
